On Thursday 24th October, Invergowrie hosted around 1,000 visitors in support of the National Gallery of Victoria Women’s Association Open Garden Day. The event will help fund the addition of works to the gallery from female artists. For me it was a joy to see so many enjoying their day, whether because they renewed their personal ties with Invergowrie and its history or perhaps due to their botanical interests or simply enjoying a stroll in the sun. It was a great reminder that giving, contributing and sharing delivers far more satisfaction and happiness that receiving alone ever can.
