We’re excited to share that the Veski Bionics Institute Girls in STEM Mentoring Program is now underway for 2026!
Thanks to the incredible women who have volunteered their time as mentors, we have doubled the number of secondary school girls participating in the program this year. Through these mentoring relationships, students gain insight, encouragement and a clearer sense of the pathways available to them in STEM.
The impact of this Program continues to be felt long after it concludes. As teachers of past participants have shared, mentoring “makes STEM real for students… it opens the girls’ eyes to opportunities they did not know might exist” and “my quiet, but very capable female students came out of their shells during this program. They built their confidence and were inspired by their wonderful mentors. The work was challenging, but it was what these very capable students needed to see all the possibilities STEM holds for them.”
A sincere thank you to the mentors who are sharing their time, experience and insight to support the next generation of women in STEM.
