Tomisich Foundation: Board of Directors

Stephen Tomisich

After completing a Bachelor of Applied Science from RMIT University, Stephen has had a 40+ year career both in Australia and the USA in Analytical Science, including senior roles Varian Instruments (now Agilent Technologies), Selby-Biolab Scientific, The PerkinElmer Corporation, Vision Systems, SGE Analytical Science and of course since 2013, Trajan Scientific and Medical that he co-founded with Angela.

Stephen has enjoyed developing various business models and tools and applying them to a diverse range of industries and situations from technical through to retail, commercial through to NFP. His interest in residential property led to the ultimate outcome with the purchase of Invergowrie with Angela in 2021.

Stephen’s philanthropic interests revolve around education, at all stages of life. His motivation is the joy of having impact and seeing others expand their potential just by trying different ways of thinking and approaching the problems and opportunities presented in life’s journey.

Angela Tomisich

While having a science background, Angela’s career has spanned a very broad range of responsibilities and experiences. Graduating as an analytical chemist, Angela started her career in the automotive industry in quality control and quickly advanced into quality management, developing her audit and certification skills. She then progressed through marketing roles in the pharmaceutical industry and diversified into IT support and project planning in construction.

After a period living in the USA, Angela acquired a retail fashion business in Melbourne and transformed its branding and business model into one of the first loyalty customer retention schemes. With her first love being in science it wasn’t long though before she returned to study again, this time in biomedical science. With her refreshed qualifications, Angela moved into clinical trials where she worked for Quintiles here in Australia for five years before co-founding Trajan Scientific and Medical with her husband Stephen in 2011. Today Trajan is an ASX listed global team of more than 600 people.

With the acquisition of Invergowrie in 2021 and the establishment of the Tomisich Foundation, Angela has found new passion in her philanthropic endeavours.

Danielle Tomisich

Outside of her professional role, Danielle is involved in the Tomisich Foundation, where her interest area focuses on supporting the continuing education of children impacted by domestic violence. She has always been concerned about students who would otherwise go unsupported, realising the potential of youth who are starting from a disadvantaged situation. She also has a passionate interest in the arts and supporting the Foundation’s work that is heritage-related.

Otherwise, you can find Danielle immersed in the world of her favourite Disney characters, where she finds inspiration and joy from their enduring messages of hope and resilience.
