Past students from the class of 1965 recently gathered at Invergowrie to celebrate the 60th anniversary of their graduation from the former Homecraft Hostel. The occasion was a beautiful opportunity for reconnection, reflection, and shared memories.
The group enjoyed morning tea in The Cottage, a charming space that once served as a training ground for students learning domestic skills. Laughter and conversation flowed easily as the women reminisced about their time at Invergowrie, with many commenting on how being there “brought back so many memories.”
As they strolled through the gardens, some found familiar corners—including the rooftop spot where a few adventurous students once indulged in a little sunbaking! The highlight for many was watching a home video from their last day at school in 1965, sparking fond recollections and heartfelt conversations.
It was a touching celebration of lifelong friendships and shared experiences, held in a place that continues to hold special meaning for all who pass through its doors.
